Hewn Beams

Hewn Beams
Old Log Cabins offers a supply of old hand-hewn beams taken from 19th century log cabins, houses and barns.  Many times the entire structure is not salvageable, but much good material exists.  These beams can be used for replacement logs, creating a custom structure, or other architectural and decorative purposes.

Hand hewn beams are available in a variety of sizes, species and characters.  Please contact us if you have a specific requirement or need.

"Stage Stop Joists"
These hand hewn joists were recovered from an Ohio hotel and stage stop circa 1830.  They are approx. 5"x7"x17', species includes oak, hickory and pine.  A lap joint and notch at the ends is for the carrier beam below.  There are 36 pieces in this lot for $8900.
